CM instructs authorities to set up new 4000 deep tube well in 17 stony districts.
The farmers have been suffered in the last Khariff season due to unseasonal rain. The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday instructed the departmental authorities for set up new 4000 deep tube well in 17 stony districts.
About Rs 100 crore will be incurred expenditures for the project and it will be completed by the month of June. One tube well will be provided for each four farmers in 90% subsidized rate. Four farmers combined deposit Rs 20,000/- with the government. Now it is being provided in 50% subsidy. After successful implementation of the project, the tube wells of the agriculture department will be provided to the farmers in 90% subsidy.
The government has targeted for plowing of Mung, Blackgram etc. in 1.5 lakh Acres of land. The Chief Minister instructed the departmental officers to look it success in Gajapati and Ganjam districts. The Chief Minister also instructed the officers of Agriculture department to produce seeds in PPP mode with modern technology.
