Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurates Alma Fiesta cultural fest of IIT Bhubaneswar. �Alma Fiesta� is the first cultural fest of IIT Bhubaneswar. The institute terms it as a socio-cultural fest and also claims it to be a first of its kind in Orissa. There are a number of cultural events lined up. Natya Chetana the drama group has partnered with IIT for a few social cause drama shows. Smt.Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT) and Indian Institute of Technology ,Bhubaneswar (IIT Bbs) have partnered for a unique competition � Perspective: The Social Case Study Competition�.

The theme earmarked for this year is �Youth, Truth & Politics�. The articles/idea statement/ vision/ presentation can only be submitted online. Six shortlisted finalists will present their concept in front of an audience and a panel of distinguished judges on March 27, 2022 at 11 AM in the lecture hall of IIT Bhubaneswar.

This year�s winner of the competition will be decorated with the title of �SNSMT-IIT Bbs Social Change Maker of 2010�. �This competition and award is a part of SNSMT�s effort to initiate a process wherein young minds who engaged in the pursuit of academic excellence, need to dwell on the concerns of the society as a part of their perspective� said Sameep a student of IIT Bbs and a coordinator of Alma Fiesta.
