Naveen Patnaik awarded 15 best legislatures of four years
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on behalf of the Orissa Legislative Assembly awarded 15 best legislatures of four years in the Sardar Ballav Bhai Patel Hall (Old Assembly) on Sunday. Pandit Nilakantha Award to current legislature, Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Award to one Former legislature and Utkalmani Gopabandhu Award to new legislature.
Pandit Nilakantha Award for the year 2004- awarded to Nalinikanta Mohanty, for the year 2005 awarded to Raghunath Mohanty, for the year 2006- awarded to Mohesh Sahoo, for the year 2007 awarded to Smt. Draupadi Murmu and for the year 2008 awarded to Narasingh Mishra. They have awarded with Cash of Rs one Lakh, Silver medal, sal etc etc.
Similarly Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Award to Former legislature to late Smt. Nandini Satpathy , Former Chief Minister ( Her son Tathagata Sathy received the award) , Ramprasad Mishra, Rabindranath Das, Youdhisthir Das ( Former Speaker of OLA ) , and Mohan Nag. They have been awarded with Cash of Rs 75 thousand, Silver medal , sal etc.
Utkalmani Gopabandhu Award to Atanu Sabyasachi Naik, Sashibhusan Behera, Saroj Kumar Samal, Debasis Patnaik, and Rama Ranjan Baliar Singh. They have been awarded with Cash of Rs 50 thousand, Silver medal, sal etc.
The Speaker of OLA Pradip Kumar Amata, Dy Speaker Lalbehari Himrika, Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh, were present. Director of Orissa legislative Assembly Krishna Raman Das coordinated the occasion and Secretary of the OLA Kishore Chandra Barik proposed vote of thenks.
