CM reviews progress of various projects of Urban Development Department.

The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in the Orissa Secretariat on Wednesday reviewed progress of various projects of Urban Development Department i.e JNNRUM, Rajib Awas Yojana, Integrated House Building and Slum Development Projects etc.

City Bus Service, Under ground drainage ,Bindusagar Conservation works in Bhubaneswar and Drinking water supply ,and drainage projects in Puri are in progress .Out of Rs 177.96crore for ground water in Bhubaneswar Rs 70.50 crore has been utilized. Out of 193 KMs 57.20 KMs pipe lying has been completed. About 172.840Acres land require for the project. The land qcquisation is going on. In Bhubaneswar City Bus service now playing in five routes.

And shortly city bus service will be available in Bhubaneswar Khurdha route. Misc Consulting Engineering has been asked to prepare a detailed plan for supply of drinking water in Puri. City Bus service in Puri will be operative by the end of January.

It was also discussed regarding construction of Houses for the slum peoples. Including Municipal Corporation, Housing Corporation, and other regional Improvement trust will be included in the project.

It was also discussed regarding preparation of cadre for Municipal Employees, Swerage system etc were discussed. Among others Urban Development Minister Badrinarayan Patra, Chief Secretary Bijaya Kumar Patnaik. Additional Development Commissioner Rabinarayan Senapaty, Secretary of Urban Development Saurav Garg, Collectors of Puri and Khurdha and other senior officers of above two districts were present.
