Naveen Patnaik directs police to check up illegal mining.

A meeting held in the Odisha Secretariat on Monday under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik . The Chief Minister has directed all the Police Superintendents of the mining areas to check up the illegal mining and seize its transportation.

After the meeting the Chief Secretary Bijaya Kumar Patnaik told the mediapersons that mining materials have stored in many places in the Mining districts. It has not been transported due
to Crime Branch probe. So the SPs have been instructed to seize the illegal mining stored.
Special attention will be given on the transportation through plane and helicopters.

The state level monitoring committee will be more empowered. The SP of the district
will be the chief and Mining officer & Transport officer will be member of the committee.

The status of the mines will be calculated through GIS. The area of the mines will be earmarked. The vehicles engaged in transporting mining to be registered in the Mining department. After registration the modern tracking instruments will be fitted in the vehicles. The Chief Secretary Bijaya Kumar Patnaik, Secretary Steel and Mines Manoj Ahuja, Director General of Police an
