Naveen retains key portfolios

BHUBANESWAR: Retaining key departments like Home, General Administration and Water Resources
with himself, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on
Thursday night alloted Finance portfolio to Prafulla Ghadei along with additional charge of Excise, official sources said.

Patnaik also kept Works, Forest and Environment ministry with himself.

While Damodar Rout was given Agriculture, Cooperation, Fishing and Animal Husbandry departments, Raghunath Mohanty got Industries, Steel and Mines along with his previous Parliamentary Affairs ministry.

Pramilla Mallick was handed back Women and Child Development portfolio while Prasanna Acharya was given Health and Family Welfare along with Pension and Grievances.

Prafulla Samal was allotted Panchayati Raj along with Information and Public Relations department while Surya Narayan Patro got Revenue and Disaster Management portfolio.

Bikram Keshari Arukh got Rural Development and Law ministry while Ananga Udaya Singh Deo was handed over Planning and Coordination along with Public Enterprise department.

Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha was made the new Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Development minister while Debi Mishra got Higher Education, Tourism and Culture.

Among Ministers of State (MoS), Sanjib Sahu was allotted Commerce and Transport department while Energy went to Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak.

Sarada Prasad Nayak got Food and Civil supplies ministry while Pushpendra Singhdeo got Labour and Employment department.

Anjali Behera got Textile and Handlooms while Ramesh Majhi got IT and Science and Technology.

Pratap Jena got School and Mass Education department while fresher Pravin Chandra Bhanjadeo got Sports and Youth Affairs with additional charge of being a state minister for Revenue and Disaster management.

Badri Narayan Patra was made new Urban Development and Housing minister.

Eight of the nine ministers of state are also new faces except Sanjib Sahu, who was a member of the previous ministry. He was allotted Commerce and Transport department.

Energy department went to Atanu Sabyasachi Oayak, a former journalist, while Sarada Prasad Nayak got Food and Civil Supplies departments.

Pushpendra Singhdeo got Labour and Employment departments, Anjali Behera got Textile and Handlooms while Ramesh Majhi got IT and Science and Technology.

Pratap Jena got School and Mass Education department while fresher Pravin Chandra Bhanjadeo got Sports and Youth Affairs with along with Revenue and Disaster management departments.

Badri Narayan Patra was made new minsiter for Urban Development and Housing.
