Orissa CM Naveen Patnaik says state to chalk out plan for welfare of tribals

Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the state government will chalk out a strategy for the welfare of tribals in state. He said this while addressing the BJD samavesh in undivided Koraput district on Saturday. Mr Patnaik further said that the Government has initiated a number of steps for the development of education, health and communication in the tribal-dominated areas, now reeling under the Maoist menace.

Patnaik also laid the foundation stone for a women’s polytechnic at Nabarangpur. Senior BJD leader Pyari Mohan Mohapatra and five other Ministers from the Naveen Cabinet attended the congregation, aimed at making inroads and garnering the support of the youth and women for the party.
