Orissa CM condemns attack on Russian women, police detained 2 suspects

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday condemned the stab attack on a Russian woman at Puri on Monday. Patnaik asked the Puri police to arrest the culprit at the earliest. Describing the incident as unfortunate. He said that stringent action would be taken against the culprit.Police on Tuesday detained two suspects and were questioning them to track down the real accused. On the other hand, the state chief secretary Tarunkanti Mishra said that a meeting would be convened to review and evolve security measures for tourists on beach.It should be noted that an unidentified criminal stabbed the tourist, Lisina Nadezda while she was cycling on beach in Baliapanda area.
