Orissa CM inaugurates Sishira Sarasha-2010 fair
The Sisira Sarasha is meant for introduction of the rural production of handicrafts and arts. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated 275 stalls in the Sishira Sarasha-2010 fair this evening organised by ORMAS. Inaugurating the Sishira Sarasha-2010 fair the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed that to introduce the production of the Self Help groups ORMAS has organised this Sisira Sarasha festival. The SHG groups can exhibit their production, sell without any middle man, and the peoples can also purchase these products.The finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadei said that the products of the SHG groups will be cheap as there is no middle man. He expressed that this year 18 exhibition has been organised by the ORMAS. There are 140 stalls from 18 state have opend their stalls. Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhistasgarh, Jamu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnatak, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Moharastra, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Orissa handicrafts are being exhibited in this fair. The extra stalls are of Orissa. Twenty Cultural groups will show their cultural programmes.During the Sisira Sarasha festival 2008, business was 1.5 crore, this year it is expected three crore. This Sisira Sarasha festival will continue up to Ist February.
