Orissa CM orders Crime Branch Probe of brutal murder of senior lawyer

The Chief Minister has been pleased to order for the Crime Branch Probe of brutal murder of senior lawyer Kalicharan Pradhan in Mayurbhanj district .

It is to be mentioned here that the Judicial activities across the state, including at Orissa High Court were paralysed on Thursday following a one-day stir by the lawyers in protest against the brutal murder of senior lawyer Kalicharan Pradhan in Mayurbhanj district.The agitating lawyers demanded immediate arrest of the accused.

Pradhan was attacked and killed by a group of unknown persons on Monday night at his residence in Bangiriposhi area of Mayurbhanj district when he was sleeping. His wife was also injured in the attack.

Demanding immediate arrest of the killers, lawyers of Mayurbhanj district have been boycotting the courts since Wednesday.
