Orissa Government introduces e-Registration of land

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the programme. Henceforth, one can get the incumbency certificate of the land within five minutes. All the 174 out of 176 tehsil are now well-connected with internet facilities. In order to facilitate it, all the land records have been registered for 13 years to facilitate the process. The project is based on public private partnership (PPP) mode and Orissa e-Governance Services Limited, a special purpose vehicle has also been formed by the Orissa Computer Application Centre and IL&FS-IDC.; The revenue department has spent Rs 80 crore to roll the project and 400 people have also been appointed. Khurda and Bhubaneswar will take another seven days to be connected with internet and e-registration facilities.
