Orissa government to set up mini-theatres in every block says CM.

Inaugurating the platinum jubilee celebrations of Odia films on Sunday chief minister Naveen Patnaik said that the movies should not only entertain they should reflect the problems in the villages and the society.

If these problems come to the forefront the Government would take steps to solve them.
If entrepreneurs come up with proposals to set up studios in the state, the state government would provide them with loans. He said that the state government is mulling to set up mini theatres in every block in the Public-Private Partnership mode.

The people interested in technical training should avail the facilities of the Biju Patnaik Film Institute in Cuttack, the Patnaik said. Among others, culture and tourism minister Debi Prasad Mishra, industry minister Raghunath Mohanty, MP Sidhanta Mohapatra also spoke. Odisha Film Development Corporation Managing Director DP Mohanty offered the vote of thanks.
