Orissa to continue procurement of Paddy in summer season

A review meeting held in the Orissa Secretariat on Monday on Procurement of Paddy during the year 2009-10 under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has instructed to continue the procurement of Paddy in summer season. There was the target of Procurement of Paddy to the tune of 45lakh MT Paddy and 32 lakh rice during the year and up to 30th May. MT.

Out of which 22lakh 92 thousand MT rice has been produced. As it is too less than the target, it has been decided to continue procurement during the rainy season.
