Entrusted as District Students Congress from 1976 to 1979. Nominated as one of the General Secretaries of Pradesh Youth Congress in October 1979 and continuing as such. General Secretary Sambalpur D.C.C.(I) and also the President of various labour organisations of Sambalpur District.Courted arrest for several times involving in students movements. courted by protesting against the arrest of Mrs.Indira Gandhi in the year of 1978.
