Elected General General Secreatary Orissa Branch of I.N.T.U.C. for one year and President of the same for two years. Executive Committee Member (elected) of I.N.M.W. Federation for several years. Attended I.L.O. Conference on Mines otherthan Coal 1957 at Geneva as a delegate from India Contested for Orissa Assembly 1952 as Independence candidate and in 1957 to Lok Sabha as a Congress candidate and lost in both.
