During student career was a Student Leader and supported I.N.Congress. Took prominent part during S.R.C. Movement. Took lawyer`s profession at Aska 1937 to 1946. President Ganjam District Congress Committee for 3 times. Member Provincial Congress Committee throughout. Organised and established educational institutions in the constituency. President District Board 1946-53. Chairman Zilla Parishad 1961-67. Member of the Senate Berhampur University.
