Being inspired by Gandhijee Left School in 1942 to join the Quit India Movement the patriotic call of late Jatiya Kavi Bira Kishore through his emotional poems had stirred him for actions Spent 3 Years and 2 Months in Cuttack and Berhampur Central Jail being arrested for political activities ; After being freed took up relief work in Thakkar Bapa Ashram in Ganjam District ; Prof Ratanakar Pati had ben his ideal to lead on ideal lofe of dedication and service ;Was Ward member Naib Sarpanch Sarpanch Cice-Chairman and Chairman of P.S. of Cuttack Sadar ; President of District Congress Committee (I) on 1983 and continuing memer of Social Welfare Board Cuttack ; Secretary Ratnakar Viday Mandir ; Vice President of Regional Marketing Society Cuttcak Managing Trustee of Paramahansa Temple ;Secretary Kandarpur Functional College. General Secretary Cuttack D.C.C (I); Elected to Orissa Assembly in 1980 from same constituency.
